Regency Homes is proud to celebrate 40 years of building exceptional homes and lasting relationships. Since its founding in 1985 by Marsh Pearson and Gary Uhde, Regency has remained committed to quality craftsmanship and personalized service, evolving with the industry while staying true to its core values.
Owner Lori Serum has been an integral part of Regency’s journey from nearly the beginning. She joined Regency shortly after its founding, starting as a receptionist and quickly proving her dedication. Her hard work earned her greater responsibility throughout the 1990s as her expertise grew with the company. She was honored to acquire part-ownership, and eventually, sole ownership in 2010.
Reflecting on the last 40 years, Lori recalls some of Regency’s defining moments, like the satisfaction of completing their first million-dollar home all those years ago, earning runner-up for the Builders Association of the Twin Cities’ Builder of the Year in 2004 and 2006, and navigating the recession with a committed, close-knit team. Their resilience in challenging times is a testament to their determination. No matter the obstacle, Lori and the Regency team have always found a way forward!
Today, Regency Homes continues to evolve alongside the industry. With a hands-on, client-focused approach, the team collaborates closely with homeowners to create custom-built homes tailored to their exact vision – bringing possibilities to life in ways that simply weren’t achievable decades ago.
Four decades in, the passion for home-building and the excitement of new challenges continue to drive the Regency team every day. Lori’s success – and that of the company as a whole – has been built on the same values she was raised with. Hard work, integrity, and perseverance have been part of the foundation from the very beginning, and those principles remain just as strong today.
